Kevin Smith is the CEO of Community Ventures. Since 1993, Kevin has led Community Ventures from a staff of one with $450,000 in assets to today’s 70-member team in five regional offices managing over $121 million in assets. Kevin has over 22 years of experience in designing, implementing, and capitalizing nonprofit programs. Community Ventures helps people own homes and start businesses based on its core mission of investing in people’s dreams. From affordable financing to education, to neighborhood revitalization, Community Ventures strives to dramatically improve the quality of life for people across Kentucky.

Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, with completed studies in Economics from the University of London in London, England.
